Directions

For General Dilution:

1. Start with approximately 5 teaspoons per quart of water or 25 mL per liter of water.
2. A little goes a long way, so begin with the recommended amount and adjust according to the coat and desired result.
3. For extreme coat conditions, Best Shot recommends using no more than 3 tablespoons (45 mL) per quart/liter.
4. Distilled water may provide more reliable and consistent results when preparing diluted product.

As a Leave-In Conditioner:

1. Spray the properly diluted MAXX evenly over wet or dry hair using short strokes.
2. Carefully comb or pin brush the product throughout the entire coat.
3. Make sure the ends of the hair are thoroughly treated.
4. Continue with your normal drying and styling routine.

For Dematting & Detangling:

1. Spray generously onto mats, tangles, or other problem areas.
2. Work the product into the mat with your fingers.
3. Allow the area to dry before attempting to separate the mat.
4. Once dry, carefully brush through with an appropriate grooming tool until the mat or tangle releases.

As a Shampoo or Conditioner Additive:

1. Add 1 tablespoon of undiluted The MAXX to your favorite pre-diluted shampoo or conditioner.
2. Mix thoroughly before use.
3. Best Shot recommends testing compatibility first when combining it with other grooming products.

For Deshedding:

1. Wash the coat as usual.
2. Apply properly diluted The MAXX to the wet coat after washing and before force drying.
3. Work the product thoroughly through the coat.
4. Remove loosened undercoat during the bathing process and with your force dryer.

With Recirculating Bathing Systems:

1. Spray pre-diluted The MAXX over the entire coat.
2. Run a final fresh-water recirculating cycle for up to 10 minutes, depending on the size of the animal.
3. Allow the bathing system to work the mixture thoroughly through the coat.
4. Towel off excess water and force dry as usual.

As a Finishing Spray:

1. Lightly mist diluted The MAXX over the finished coat.
2. Brush through the coat while misting.
3. Use to help control flyaways, static, and frizz while improving manageability.

NOTE: The MAXX has a peculiar odor straight from its bottle, however you’ll notice it is indiscernable when diluted as instructed. Store in a cool place out of direct sunlight.  Wipe the bottle’s lid and spout with a clean paper towel after pouring contents to prevent product contamination.  Typical shelf life is 2 to 3 years.
CAUTION:  Overspray may cause a slip and fall hazard.  Keep out of reach of children.  Apply to animals face with a damp cloth to avoid eye contact.  If eye irritation occurs, flush eyes with cool water for several minutes and seek attention by a physician if any irritation persists or worsens.
