Black on Black is not a permanent dye. Instead, it uses color-depositing pigments to optically intensify and correct the existing coat color. The semi-permanent results can last up to four weeks and will not rub off onto hands or clothing once the coat has been thoroughly rinsed and dried.

The formula also contains Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Glycerin, Aloe Vera, Calendula, Allantoin, Chamomile, Witch Hazel, Elder Flower, and Sage, providing conditioning ingredients alongside its color-enhancing action.

Directions

1. For best results, first wash the coat with your preferred Chris Christensen shampoo to remove dirt, oils, and buildup.
2. Rinse thoroughly.
3. Apply Black on Black directly to the wet coat. Do not dilute.
4. Work thoroughly into a lather and massage evenly through the areas being color treated.
5. Allow the product to remain on the coat for approximately 2–10 minutes, depending on coat texture and porosity.
6. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
7. For severely sun-bleached or color-damaged coats, the treatment may be repeated.
8. Follow with an appropriate Chris Christensen conditioner when additional conditioning is desired.
